Who we are

This site is run by Crostini Italian Kitchen & Pizzeria, 947 North Broadway, North Massapequa, NY 11758 ("Crostini", "we", "us"). You can reach us at (516) 799-6189.

What we collect

• Your order: the items and options you chose, any note you wrote, and the pickup time we gave you.
• Your name and phone number: required for real orders, so we can match the order to you at pickup and call you if there is a problem.
• Your email address: optional. If you give one, we use it to tell you when your order is ready.
• Payment information: if you pay by card, you enter your card details on Stripe's page, not ours. We receive only a reference, the amount, and whether the payment succeeded or was refunded. If you pay at pickup, we record only that you chose to pay at the restaurant.
• Technical information: like any website, our hosting provider sees your IP address and basic browser details when your device connects. We use this to deliver the site and keep it secure.

Things saved on your device

To save you typing, this site stores a few things in your own browser: the contents of your bag, and, after you place an order, the name, phone number and email you used. They stay on your device and are not sent anywhere except when you place an order. You can remove them at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies.

How we use your information

• To prepare your order and hand it to you.
• To contact you about your order, for example if an item is unavailable or to tell you it is ready.
• To take payments and give refunds.
• To prevent misuse, for example by limiting how many unpaid orders one phone number can have waiting at the same time.
• To keep the business records we need for accounting, tax and dispute handling.

We do not use your details for marketing today. If we ever offer promotions or news by email or text, we will ask for your permission first.

Who else handles your information

We use a few trusted companies to run the service. They handle your information only to provide their service to us:

• Cloudflare hosts this site and stores order records in its secure database.
• Stripe processes card payments and refunds. Its use of your information is described in Stripe's privacy policy.
• Resend delivers the emails we send: your "order ready" email, and order alerts to the restaurant's staff.
• Google Fonts supplies the typefaces on this site, so your browser contacts Google's servers to load them.

We may also share information when the law requires it, or to protect our customers, our staff or the service. We do not sell your personal information.

How long we keep it

We keep order records for as long as we need them to run the restaurant and to meet tax, accounting and legal requirements. When we no longer need them, we delete them or remove the details that identify you. If you ask us to delete your details sooner, we will, except for records we are required to keep.

Your choices

You can ask us to tell you what we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. Call us at (516) 799-6189 or visit the restaurant, and give us the name and phone number you used. We will reply within 30 days. If you would rather not receive the "order ready" email, simply leave the email field empty when you order.

Children

This site is for people who can order food for themselves. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Security

The site uses encrypted connections, and access to order records is limited to the restaurant's staff. No online service is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and choose providers that do the same.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the new version here and update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will say so on the ordering page.
